The 2024–25 UConn women’s basketball team reclaimed its place atop the sport, capturing the program’s 12th national championship under Hall of Fame head coach Geno Auriemma. In his 40th season, Auriemma guided the Huskies to a 37–3 record, a Big East title and their first national crown since 2016.

Opening night of the 2025-26 college basketball season is essentially March Madness in November. There's a boatload of men's and women's college basketball games on Monday night, featuring some of the best teams in the nation to kickstart the new season.
