Rajveer Singh Chauhan, in Shastri Nagar, Jaipur, who died in a helicopter crash in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. Just 15 days before a scheduled celebration to mark the birth of his twin sons, the Chauhan family is now mourning an irreplaceable loss.

In another tragic incident from Uttarakhand, a helicopter carrying seven people — including the pilot — crashed near Gaurikund on its return journey from Kedarnath Dham. All seven aboard lost their lives.

The FIR accused the operator of “gross negligence” and listed several alleged lapses. It said the helicopter took off around 50 minutes before its allotted time, during conditions of poor visibility caused by clouds and fog.

In the wake of the tragic helicopter crash near Gaurikund that claimed seven lives, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced the establishment of a centralised command and coordination centre in Dehradun to oversee real-time helicopter operations in the state.
