July 22 - Utah Jazz forward Kyle Filipowski was named the Summer League Most Valuable Player for 2025 on Tuesday. Filipowski was also honored on the All-Summer League First Team, as the NBA announced first- and second-team honorees.

Filipowski, who grew up in New York, transferred to Wilbraham & Monson as a sophomore and was named the Bay State's top player as a junior.

The Houston Rockets had highs and lows at this year's NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. They would finish with a 1-4 record at the mini-camp, but more importantly for the team was the progress and growth that second-year guard Reed Sheppard showed ahead of his increased role for the Rockets' regular season squad.
