Mohammad Sinwar, Hamas's Gaza leader and brother of slain commander Yahya Sinwar, has been confirmed dead by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He was the younger brother of Yahya Sinwar, the former Hamas leader killed by Israel last year. Hamas did not immediately respond to the claim of his death.
Following the elimination of Hamas's Gaza chief, Muhammad Sinwar, the Islamist group will have to choose a new leader to head the organization in the territory. However, Israel's eliminations of Hamas leaders will make it difficult to find a suitable successor.
