Over the last few years, the state of comic book films and shows has grown increasingly uncertain with the phrase "superhero fatigue" getting thrown around following the surprise underperformance of major Marvel films.

During the Los Angeles premiere for Prime Video's Invincible Season 3, Robert Kirkman explained why he doesn't buy into "superhero fatigue."

Superhero fatigue has become a hot-button topic. Between Marvel flops, the death of the DC Extended Universe, and the destruction of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, superhero fatigue has become one of the go-to reasons to justify why these comic book adaptations failed.
