No. 6 Ole Miss (11-1, 7-1 SEC) will square off against the Tulane Green Wave in the program's College Football Playoff debut after the Rebels earned home-field

The CFP first round game between Ole Miss and Tulane is a rematch of a Sept. 22 game which the Rebels won convincingly.

Ole Miss' defense will be looking to dominate again. It starts with stopping Tulane quarterback Jake Retzlaff. The Rebels held Retzlaff to 5-for-17 passing for 56 yards in the first game and Ole Miss didn't allow a touchdown until the fourth quarter. The Rebels outgained Tulane 548 to 282.

Defensive tackle Santana Hopper admitted he had tried to forget all about Tulane’s September defenestration at the hands of Ole Miss when he talked Sunday about the Dec. 20 rematch in the College Football Playoff (2:30 p.m., TNT).

Tulane promoted head coach days before their CFP rematch with Pete Golding's Ole Miss. The Green Wave are betting on continuity.

The Rebels handled the Green Wave with ease back in September, but circumstances have changed ahead of their CFP bout.
