Morey’s super small ball team led by James Harden and Russell Westbrook was no match for the LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and an elite defense, and the series ended in only five games.

At the end of that elongated season, the Los Angeles Lakers were the most unique champions in NBA history. And one of their most unique players, JaVale McGee, earned his third ring in the process. McGee had previously won two titles with the Golden State Warriors.
