Napheesa Collier scored 34 points to outshine the WNBA debut of Paige Bueckers, who had 10 points in the Minnesota Lynx's 99-84 win over the Dallas Wings on Friday night.

The Minnesota Lynx began the 2025 WNBA regular season against rookie number one overall pick Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on Friday night, rekindling hopes for a WNBA Finals run. The Lynx's most well known star player, Napheesa Collier, scored 14 points in her first 13 minutes of game action, helping to pace her team in the early going.

Bueckers, who starred at Hopkins High School in the Twin Cities and won a state championship during her senior year before a sensational college career at UConn, finished her first WNBA regular-season game with 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
