Bobby Bones, the Dancing with the Stars Season 27 champ, just dropped a bombshell: he sent his shiny Mirrorball trophy back to ABC. Yep, the whole thing.

A Tony winner, several Olympians, Super Bowl champions and Bachelorettes are just a few of the stars who have won the coveted mirrorball trophy throughout the show’s 20-year history.

And that was finally enough for Bones, who said on TikTok that he’d sent his Mirrorball Trophy back to ABC. “I try not to get my feelings hurt, especially about stuff like this, but this was hurtful,” he said, adding that it wasn’t “because of what was said, but really who said it.”

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the show, Tuesday’s episode will have an exciting opening number to a reimagined live version of the “Dancing with the Stars Theme” by Ray Chew. The dance will be choreographed by Derek Hough and will feature the current pros and troupe as well as six original pros from the first season.
