The Ohio State Buckeyes and Head Coach Ryan Day have put together an impressive recruiting class for 2026 so far, but they just lost out on a massive talent.

Cantwell is a nearly 6-foot-8, 325-pound 2026 offensive tackle from Nixa, Missouri. The Hurricanes were competing with Georgia, Oregon and Ohio State, but ultimately, Miami was able to bring this huge recruiting win home.

Cantwell (6-foot-7.5, 300 pounds) ranks as the nation's No. 1 player by both On3 and Rivals. He plays for Nixa (Missouri) High School, where he earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors in December.
