Matthew Stafford proved to be the missing piece the Los Angeles Rams needed to win a Super Bowl. After spending his entire career in Detroit, the veteran quarterback arrived in L.A. in 2021 and has since been one of the NFL’s top signal-callers.

The 37-year-old quarterback had $100 million offers from the Giants and Raiders but took less money to stay in L.A.

While he is technically under contract with the Rams through the 2026 season, Stafford has given mixed signals regarding his long-term playing future. He openly contemplated retirement after each of the last two seasons, but, prior to the 2024 campaign, Stafford said that he hoped to play for " three or four more seasons ," or roughly until age 40.
