Italy have finally managed to find a replacement for the sacked Luciano Spalletti, with former AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso set to take charge.

Italy claimed a 2-0 win over Moldova in Luciano Spalletti's final game as the men's national team coach. Spalletti said at a news conference on Sunday that Monday's World Cup qualifier would be his last match in charge.

Luciano Spalletti has been offered huge wages by Al-Nassr to replace current coach Stefano Pioli, who is set to leave Saudi Arabia to join Fiorentina.

Italy defeated Moldova 2-0 in last night's World Cup qualifier, which marked Spalletti 's final game in charge after his dismissal by FIGC president Gabriele Gravina on Saturday. “The crowd showed us such warmth, and we should’ve fired them up a bit more,” Spalletti said afterwards.
