Pork supplier says family farm could cease to exist when he dies and his son may have to sell up.

The farmers believe the inheritance tax changes would "decimate" the country's agricultural sector and hope ministers ditch the "devastating family farm tax".

Farmers have joined a series of rallies across the country against government reforms to inheritance tax. Union leaders say many farming families are already at “breaking point” and can’t afford higher tax bills.

"Our reform to Agricultural and Business Property Relief will mean estates will pay a reduced effective inheritance tax rate of 20%, rather than standard 40%, and payments can be spread over 10 years, interest-free. "This is a fair and balanced approach, which fixes the public services we all rely on, affecting around 500 estates a year."
