Slade Cecconi tossed seven shutout innings and the Cleveland Guardians blanked the Athletics in the series finale June 22 in West Sacramento, Calif.

Slade Cecconi pitched a career-high seven innings and Emmanuel Clase escaped a bases-loaded jam in the ninth to lead the Cleveland Guardians to a 3-0 victory over the Athletics in the rubber game of their series Sunday.

The Guardians made it 3-0 in the fifth on a two-out single by David Fry. Kwan started the rally with a single to right for his second hit of the game and his sixth of the series. Lane Thomas popped out for the second out of the inning, but Jose Ramirez singled to move Kwan to second.
