Despite his recent challenges, Stolarz has had a mixed record against the Bruins throughout his career. Stolarz was selected by the Flyers with the 45th overall pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. From there, he played two seasons with the Flyers, where he posted a 14-6-4 record, a .911 save percentage, and a 2.86 goals-against average.
