Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson provided an injury update on Bryce Harper, saying he's day-to-day and that the team doesn't know the full extent of the injury.

The Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday placed All-Star first baseman Bryce Harper on the 10-day injured list with inflammation in his right wrist. As part of a series of moves, the Phillies selected the contract of infielder/outfielder Otto Kemp to, in essence, take Harper's spot on the active roster.

The Phillies called up Otto Kemp from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to replace Harper. Kemp, 25, is making his major league debut on June 7 against the Pirates. The non-drafted free agent had been one of the International League's top hitters this season, with 14 home runs, 55 RBIs, 11 stolen bases and a .313 batting average.
