Before Davante Adams signed with the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers made a pitch to the six-time Pro Bowler but not at the price he was looking for. Speaking to The Athletic's Michael Silver, Adams said, "I'm not a wholesale-type dude" in discussing the 49ers trying to get him to sign a lower-cost contract.

Davante Adams signed with the Rams, but, according to the star wide receiver, the 49ers also had interest after his release from the Jets.

Davante Adams signed a free agent deal with the Los Angeles Rams in March. With the new deal he's hoping to put a tumultuous last few seasons behind him as he was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders and then the New York Jets after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers.
